The music of Fleetwood Mac (7 of 7)

Album: Behind the Mask (1990)

Behind The Mask - Fleetwood Mac

Album: Time (1995)

Sooner or Later - Fleetwood Mac

These Strange Times - Fleetwood Mac

Album: Say You Will (2003)

Thrown Down - Fleetwood Mac

Running Through the Garden - Fleetwood Mac

Say You Will - Fleetwood Mac

Some enjoyable tracks here and there, but it's a pity that the cigarettes have affected Stevie Nicks' voice of late, so her vocal is not as beautiful as it once was. Of the three albums above, Say You Will (2003) is probably the strongest of them, a return to form, benefited by the return of Lindsey Buckingham.
This concludes my look at the career of Fleetwood Mac. Any thoughts on Fleetwood Mac's output 1990-2003? Did I miss any tracks you love from these albums? Would you like to see new material from the band, or should Fleetwood Mac call it a day?

Next time, stop by, when I explore the albums of The National.

  1. I would like to see Fleetwood Mac do a reunion with Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer for a show to play some old-school stuff and maybe one show with Christine McVie.

    1. @thevoid99: I read Fleetwood Mac are doing a live European tour in the autumn, the US tour starts this April. No mention of your dream line-up, though.
Apparently the band have written two new tracks that might make it onto the show’s setlists.

  2. Oh, awesome, I can't wait to hear your thoughts on The National's catalog! They just announced a new album this week, too. Trouble Will Find Me comes out in May -- can't wait!

As for Fleetwood Mac, for whatever reason I have struggled to get into their music. As a music buff, I know I should be into them, but they haven't clicked yet. Then again, it took me years to get into Led Zeppelin, and now I'm a huge fan. Time will tell, I guess.

    1. @Eric: I have a feeling you are a bigger fan of The National than I am. However I do enjoy some of their music, as will become apparent when I share my favorites. I heard the new album is due soon, hopefully will live up to expectations!

No worries, music is so very subjective. We can't love every band.

What do you think about the post? I look forward to hearing from you. Rest assured I will reply soon.
