The images today are from Douglas Sirk directed movies. I just had to share them! In case you're wondering, I have a habit of taking these screenshots, even when a film is not actually a comedy...I have a pretty dry sense of humour, as will become evident in future funny posts...
(This first image is my favorite of the three)
(Hopefully that box is not too heavy...)
(Not exactly a joke, still amuses me!)
As Anthony Fantano from the needledrop always says on youtube. What do you guys think of this thing. Do you love it? Do you hate it? Why?...
I'm always interested in cool new screenshots. What movies are these from?
ReplyDelete1 and 2: Has Anybody Seen My Gal? (1952) from a boxset I own. Aside from those moments, pretty mediocre movie actually.
DeleteDouglas Sirk has directed far better ones: Written on the Wind (1956) , Magnificent Obsession (1954), Imitation of Life (1959)
Haven't seen this screenshots before. The third one is pretty hilarious. I take it it's from a comedy movie too?
ReplyDelete@Andina: Yes, funny in a kind of sarcastic way! I'm not 100% sure where image is from, probably: Written on the Wind (1956). Actually no, not a comedy. A drama.
DeleteLove the last one!
ReplyDelete@Pete: Appeals to my sense of humour!
DeleteI like it. The second one is my favorite ( I think I'm romantic). But what I like the most is your curiosity. I think you are like a child :).
ReplyDelete@Analía: That's an interesting comment, I'll take that as a compliment...To quote U2: "I still haven't found what I'm looking for" ( :
DeletePeople without any desire to grow I find boring. Curiosity is what keeps me going ( :
Yes, of course is a compliment. Nothing makes us feel more alive than curiosity. You inspire me. Take care!
