ReplyDelete@doccortex: I had Grimes album on repeat recently while it was free on NPR first listen. Certainly the best dream pop release of 2012 so far for me. Tracks: Genesis, Be A Body, Skin, are also pretty good ( :
ReplyDeleteWhen The Playlist released (and linked) all the songs from this movie on their site, I was elated. Say what you will about the movie, but it had killer music.

I'm very unlikely to see Project X, but I have figured that the music might be pretty good, and wondered whether any of the songs off the soundtrack are original.
ReplyDeleteThe new Grimes cd is fantastic. I don't buy that many albums a year, but that one has earned it's rotation in my car stereo.
ReplyDelete@NeverTooEarlyMP: Don't know if any of the tracks for Project X are new. What I do know is my faves are from 2009: ("Despicable Dogs Washed Out Remix” - Small Black, "Intro” - The xx, and song I shared above). You can listen to the whole soundtrack here

@Max: Agreed, The Grimes album is amazing! In my top 5 of the year so far. Definitely worth the money.
