Sounds like a line from a folkie-type song. Billy Bragg maybe?
@FurryBootsCityBoy: Good try, Billy Bragg does have a song called Ingrid Bergman with "sons and daughters" in the lyrics. I just listened, unfortunately it isn't the tune I was looking for.
I wish I could help but I can't! How frustrating. Please let us know if you find out what it is and perhaps post the song.
@C: Hopefully I'll have the answer eventually. It may take some time.
Hmm - Not ringing a bell but it does get really frustrating when even after hours of googling you still can't work it out. Some day you'll be listening to the radio and it will just pop up - sooner than later hopefully.
@Alyson: I only spent 5 min googling to be honest. As you say, probably will find it by accident when I’m not looking.
I've no idea about the 'masters of none' bit, but the opening reminds me pf Let The River Run by Carly Simon.
@Rol: Close, but no cigar. The half-remembered lyrics could be the root of the problem. If it's any help, I can hum the chorus: "Da-da da-da da da da, da da, da da"
Any idea what genre the song is from? Maybe that could help.
@thevoid99: Probably an 80s pop song. Not very much to go by.
What do you think about the post? I look forward to hearing from you. Rest assured I will reply soon.
