I've decided to continue with Ryan McNeil's blindspot blogathon. Many other LAMB bloggers are also participating, so it should be fun. The idea is you select 12 films you've never seen before, and write about a film each month. I've compiled a list of films I definitely want to watch in 2015. Based on flickchart, these are the highest ranked films by each director that I haven’t seen. I also went with films that have a score of 8/10 on IMDb or close to it. So besides Hoop Dreams, which are the rest?

GREAT choices, and so many of them are still blind spots for me! I was thinking about going the 1940's route again, but maybe I'll copy some of these instead.

DeleteI've seen 10 of these films although I've only seen the theatrical cut of Killing of a Chinese Bookie but not the director's cut which I heard is far more superior. Which version are you going to do or are you going to do both version.

DeleteSome great movies here. I've seen 11 of these, and I can't imagine you won't love Spinal Tap and Hoop Dreams in particular.

DeleteI'm not too familiar with the films on your list besides Mary Poppins, Snow White and Ten Commandments. I did watched Snow White when I was a kid, I wasn't too fond because it was a bit dark for me as a kid.

@Andina: I’m not a kid so I don’t mind Snow White is dark. I took a sneak peak at your letterboxd blind spot list. Nice choices, 4 of them are all-time favorites of mine.
DeleteI've seen exactly half of these, the first five you have listed plus Mary Poppins. Hoop Dreams is probably my favorite of the bunch, though I enjoyed them all. Well, I'm not a huge fan of This is Spinal Tap, but I didn't hate it. Looking forward to these reviews.

DeleteYou selected some great films. Pretty diverse. I've seen only two of them: All That Jazz and Mary Poppins. I liked them both quite a lot.

DeleteNice list! I've seen eight of them, and Patton is on my Blind Spot list for 2015. Mary Poppins has amazingly become my daughter's favorite movie, and I can see the appeal. All That Jazz is something to see, and Hoop Dreams is amazing.
