Listen to this band? Agree/disagree with my choices? Which is your favorite album by the group? Share your thoughts in the comments
Can't say that I have an overall favorite. Right now it's The Boxer, but next week it could be High Violet, or Sad Songs...
ReplyDelete@Bonjour Tristesse: Good choices! Having now listened to all The National's LPs and EPs, Boxer and High Violet are high on the list for me too.
DeleteGreat picks! I love that you highlighted "90-Mile Water Wall" -- that one just missed my cut. Did you check out their self-titled album at all? Curious what you would think of that one. It's one I rarely listen to myself.
ReplyDelete@Eric: Thanks! I did check that self-titled LP, it was my least favorite of the studio albums, and didn't really have any stand-out tracks I wanted to share. Which are the best tracks from that album, do you think, if any?
DeleteYeah, I feel the same way. No real standout tracks at all, as the band seemed to have been struggling to find its footing at that point.
