EEK! I've only heard, like, 3 of these! Time to download some new jams.
ReplyDelete@Fisti: Hope you find something in the top 50 you like!
DeleteOh, I LOVE "All That"! It'll be in my top 10 of the year so far. ;) Glad to see "Vortex" and "Brothers in Arms" make the cut, too.
ReplyDelete@Josh: I agree ”All That” is very good, even though it’s an imitation of what others were doing in the 80s.
DeleteGreat stuff here. Obsessed with "King Kunta," and I adore "Sunshine On My Back. Off to check out your 1-25.
ReplyDelete@Alex Withrow, Thanks, King Kunta is very catchy.
DeleteSunshine on My Back was recorded during the sessions for Trouble Will Find Me, the song didn’t get released until 2015.
Only heard a handful of these. Thanks for educating me, as always.
ReplyDelete@ Wendell Ottley: Hope you find something that appeals to you! There’s not much hip hop in the top 50 I’m afraid, except King Kunta by Kendrick Lamar
DeleteKing Kunta is an excellent song, but I am open to other stuff. That said, I have spent the weekend analyzing/praising Nas' debut album, Illmatic.

@Wendell Ottley: Agree about King Kunta, it’s probably a song even those not into hip hop can appreciate. Thanks for the link
