I haven't listened to any of these but thanks for introducing Leonard Cohen to me. I LOVE that 'Slow' track and he has such a great, deep voice! I like the James Irwin's song too!
ReplyDelete@Ruth: I love Slow, which is the track that has grown on me the most from Cohen's new album. Glad you like James Irwin as well!
DeleteHaven't heard any of these. I guess they were overlooked. I'll check them out tonight.
ReplyDelete@Wendell Ottley: The first two tracks by Your Old Droog and by Young Fathers are hip hop, so those might appeal to you the most!
DeleteWhat, The Ting Tings are still around? Amazing. Good list. I haven't heard of too many of these.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, have been working on a new comedy series entitled Purple Squirrels that you might enjoy. Check out the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWsCHH9Ee38
Would you be interested in writing a review? If so please drop a line at info@purplesquirrels.ca and we can get it set up.
@The Taxi Driver: Yep, Ting Tangs are still around. Thanks for the info about the comedy series. I don't really watch much TV. I’ll let you know if I’m interested in reviewing
DeleteHi, Chris! Just want to say Happy Birthday to you! Hope you'll have the best year.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard any of these records, but now I'm listening to The Ting Tings. They sound calmer and more mature
@Andina: Thanks for the well wishes! I think The Ting Tings best song is "That's Not My Name". Their new album is uneven, but with some bright spots!
DeleteYay! Love seeing the tracks from La Roux, MØ, The Ting Tings, Röyksopp & Robyn, and Sharon Van Etten on here.
ReplyDelete@Josh: Happy you like those tracks as well! Today, I just added Her Name On Every Tongue by Geoffrey O'Connor.
