Batman soundtrack is not his best, I do like a couple of tracks, “Batdance”, I see as tongue-in-cheek, has a fun video. The Black Album disappointed me, considering the hype.
I was pleasantly surprised by 1993’s The Hits/The B-Sides compilation, some of those b-sides are excellent, and will share for the upcoming top 50.
Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09395044055566348346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1619249406686227577.post-47775943362135624652014-09-29T16:38:28.377-07:002014-09-29T16:38:28.377-07:00The albums Prince did in the 1980s are just quinte...The albums Prince did in the 1980s are just quintessential. He owned that decade. For me, my favorite Prince album is a four-way tie between Sign O' the Times, 1999, Purple Rain, and Dirty Mind. It depends on what mood I'm in. Dirty Mind is definitely one of the dirtiest albums.... ever.... Batman is the weakest album of the 80s as for me, everything he did from Dirty Mind to Lovesexy (including The Black Album which was officially released in 1994 but was made in 1987 but was pulled from release at the last minute as it became a very popular bootleg in the years before its official release). Grafitti Bridge was OK while I did like Diamonds & Pearls minus the rap stuff while I did enjoy the Love Symbol album. I still love that song "Batdance" which I heard gave Trent Reznor nightmares.thevoid99https://www.blogger.com/profile/03055459287396592446noreply@blogger.com
