  1. Great song from PJ Harvey. Not crazy over political songs but I liked this one musically.
Anyway, she is always amazing. I am a big fan of hers, especially the 2000 album, Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea.
The Neon Indian song is funky. I'm enjoying this disco turn.
The Bling Ring Suite sounds like it is from a sci-fi film.
I'm loving the The vaccines song.

    1. @Cristi B: I haven’t listened to PJ Harvey’s older stuff, have been meaning to get round to it.
Glad you enjoyed those, tracks by Neon Indian and Vaccines are pretty catchy.
Ha, Bling Ring Suite, hadn’t thought about it that way :)

  2. The GTA V soundtrack is terrific. Loving the game, too. Great pick on that Neon Indian song.

Also, thanks for sharing the Matt Berninger track. Hadn't heard that one before!

    1. Eric @ The Warning Sign: Haven't played the game, I love that Neon Indian track.

Well that's cool I could provide you with a new Matt Berninger track, since I know The National is your favorite band. It's a very brief song, but I like it.

  3. Dig the tracks from The National, The Bling Ring and The Vaccines. Speaking of The National, I just listened to Trouble Will Find Me again, and I loved it the second time around. :)

  4. Decided to go back a few weeks to leave a comment.

Much of what I'm listening to right now is tied to an annual music-listening ritual of mine.

I plug in my iPod. I sort my songs by number of times played. I make a playlist of the twenty most-played song (leading up to the most-played track at the end of the mix).

Once I'm done, I reset the playcount of my entire library so I can it again this time next year.

Here are my twenty most played songs from October 2012 to now, play counts in parenthesis. Feel free to post your own...

    1. Who Did That to You - John Legend (39)
    2. Default - Atoms for Peace (39)
    3. Merry Go Round - Kacey Musgraves (39)
    4. High School Lover - Cayucas (39)
    5. Truth - Bloc Party (39)
    6. The Boy With the Arab Strap - Belle & Sebastian (39)

    1. @Ryan McNeil: Wow, thanks for sharing those 20 tunes. Indeed most-played is a good method to judge which music you love. If you haven’t already, you should do a music post with all this at your site!
I also enjoyed John Legend track from Django Unchained. The Stars Are Out Tonight is great too, especially the youtube 5 min 53 sec version with the intro instrumental. Get Lucky by Daft Punk might turn out to be the song of the year for some of the big music sites. A few of those I'm unfamiliar with and will look up.

I don't have a most-played statistic for old or new music. Back in July I did compile Favorite Songs of 2013 so far (tracks 1-25) and tracks (26-50)
