Awesome atmospheric music. Heard the Drive soundtrack? It works outside of the film. Here are my favourites:

Nightcall - Kavinsky

...

Under Your Spell - Desire

...

A Real Hero - College (feat. Electric Youth)

  1. Electric but nice - I'm sure it worked great as a soundtrack (haven't seen Drive yet).

  2. @Mette: Drive is fairly violent action film,in a Tarantino kind of way, just thought I' warn you. Even though it stars Ryan Gosling, it's no Blue Valentine or The Notebook..!
The soundtrack was the best thing about Drive for me.

  4. @Andina: Knowing your tastes, I think you'd find Drive a bit violent. The music is a treat ( : I know you're a She & Him fan, have you heard the news of a Christmas album? Out oct 25.
I also saw Zooey Deschanel is to be in a new tv-show called New Girl. I read about both here:

  5. I love these tracks, and how perfectly fitting the lyrics are to the scenes in which they appear.

BTW Chris, have you heard of Neon Neon?

  7. I've had this soundtrack on repeat since I saw this flick. Great stuff.

Read an interview with the director and he said his two inspirations for Drive were the original Grimm's Fairy Tales and electronica music.

    So badass.

  10. @Bonjour Tristesse: I agree, its great when the lyrics mirror the story, I could imagine the writer was listening to the music when he wrote the script.
Neon Neon? I'll have to give them a try, thanks ( :

@Alex Withrow: You're right, these tracks are pretty addictive, and thanks for the info on the director.
